Harrods The world famous Harrods consists of 300 departments with more than 3000 staff members. Harrods was opened in year 1849 by Charles Henry Harrod as a grocery shop. Now there are average of 35000 visitors per average day. Most of the departments has its own advise desk where you can clarify your quarries. Shoppers can spend their whole day in Harrods six football pitch sized floors. This is the place where Englandís first escalators was installed.
